Our
Team

  • Bold Type Founder Noelle Langston

    Noelle Langston

    Experience Designer (she/her)

The oldest sister, Noelle, started the studio after 15 years in the corporate world. Previous work includes serving as the Head of Cognitive Experience Design for an AI product company and Product Adoption at McKinsey & Company in NYC. Noelle loves design as a way to see the world, full of limitless potential and possibilities. A former collegiate student-athlete, she has been a passionate advocate for healthy team cultures ever since. She maintains her creative muscle with pottery, papier-mâché, and a daily drawing practice.

  • Graphic Design Principal - Garrett Langston

    Garrett Langston

    Brand Designer (he/him)

The younger brother, Garrett, is a lifelong creative who has always maintained sketchbooks full of ideas and drawings. Prior to Bold Type, Garrett studied Graphic Design at San Diego City College. As an intern at Mothersponge, he mixed his greatest passions— branding and beer, working on logos and packaging for local breweries. A stickler for function, Garrett is known for beautiful designs that get the job done. His creativity is fueled by culinary exploration, printmaking, playing music, skateboarding, and travel.

  • Kari-Ann Mighty

    Kari-Ann Mitchell

    New Ventures Manager (she/her)

Kari-Ann is the mighty bridge between our team, our clients, and the studio’s operational possibilities. Long before Bold Type, Kari-Ann and Noelle shared an office at McKinsey. Kari-Ann’s reputation for high integrity, meticulous work made her the only choice for the job at Bold Type. She is a creative in her own right and her quick wit brings indelible lightness to all aspects of the studio. Kari-Ann’s creativity is fueled by her excellent taste in podcasts, as a listener and as a host, exploring different genres of music, and lifelong learning.

  • Pookie Langston

    Head of Zoom Ambiance (she/her)

Pookie has grown up in the background of Zoom meetings here at Bold Type. She is committed to her craft, reminding everyone that sometimes the best inspiration starts with scratching your tummy and then taking a nap. Pookie keeps her skills sharp by running into the background of random strangers’ photos at the beach, licking children’s faces when they least expect it, and only chasing after tennis balls that don’t belong to her. She is excited about a future where self-driving cars will take her to the dog park at will with mandatory stops for pup cups of whipped cream.
